Valle Nevado, Chile, September 2005: We were up at 11,000 feet at the resort. It was foggy and dumping snow… we were socked in with shitty weather for a week, going stir crazy. We were there with a select crew of riders, and our heli plan was botched due to the no-fly conditions. Our original plan for the trip was simple: three photographers and three different shooting groups each day heading out to unique terrain to get the most diverse and epic shots. And then the weather settled in.

With only a handful of riders, we couldn't get away to do our own thing, so we decided to pool our efforts and instead of the usual trying to outdo each other, we worked together to try to best capture the snowboarding story that was happening around the hotel. These photos are the result of pure collaboration and communication as three photographers—Blotto, Adam and I—worked side by side with one goal: to show snowboarding in a new way. We talked and worked around each other with the clear intention of showing the photos together as a group. The Snowboard Journal has given us the pages, so here is our 'triple angle' story…
